Magazine Designs

Planet magazine spread
Magazine spread design for a feature exploring the possibility of life beyond Earth. The layout blends scientific curiosity with atmospheric visual storytelling.

I created this spread for an article centered on the question of life on other planets. I wanted the reader to feel pulled into a quiet moment of wonder, as if the article sits between science and imagination. The background uses layered nebula textures to guide the eye through the text. Each planet has a distinct presence that suggests distance, mystery, and a sense of scale larger than the story itself.

The typography supports the theme with a bold title that feels futuristic and grounded. I balanced long blocks of text with circular callouts and subtle glows, which helped the layout stay open and readable. My goal was to create a piece that feels like a window into a larger universe. It shows my focus on visual hierarchy, atmospheric color, and narrative design.

Magazine spread design for an exhibition feature highlighting inclusion, diversity, and artistic storytelling through the voices of international creators.

This layout was created for a feature titled “Art Talk,” an exhibition focused on inclusion and diversity within contemporary art. My goal was to build a spread that feels welcoming and refined while giving each artist a clear visual presence. The overall tone is calm and balanced, with a structured grid that keeps the reader anchored as they move across the page.

The museum theme guided the color palette, which uses cool tones and soft shadows to evoke a gallery atmosphere. I arranged the artist portraits in a way that mimics a curated wall display, allowing the reader to meet each creator before discovering their work and stories. The typography blends classical serif elements with clean modern lines, which keeps the design rooted in a professional setting while still feeling fresh.

The composition reflects my focus on clarity, narrative flow, and visual hierarchy. Each section works together to create an exhibition experience on the page, inviting the viewer to step into the world of these artists and the voices behind their work.

Expanded magazine feature design for the Metromoheim Museum’s Art Talk exhibition, presenting an in-depth look at a selected artist and their work through a refined and structured visual layout.

This extended magazine spread was designed as a companion piece to the primary Art Talk exhibition layout. The goal was to take the same brand identity and build a more immersive experience for the featured artists. I structured the design to feel like a guided gallery tour on the page, giving each photograph its own space while maintaining a consistent visual rhythm.

The style leans into a museum-inspired atmosphere with cool tones, soft gradients, and restrained typography. These elements support the artwork without overpowering it. The table of contents and section headers help frame the narrative, and the full-page visuals provide quiet moments for the reader to pause with each piece. I placed emphasis on readability and flow, which keeps the viewer moving naturally from introduction to artwork.

This project demonstrates my ability to expand a brand across multiple formats while holding onto a cohesive voice. It highlights my approach to layout design, narrative structure, and visual hierarchy, along with my focus on creating an experience that feels polished, organized, and thoughtfully curated.
